I have 15 years experience in mental health. I worked with adults, and child & adolescent cognitive as behavioural therapist of ten years. I am trained as an EMDR therapist, trained in CFT, NET and TF-CBT. I am experienced in working with complex trauma for the police force, fire service, ministry of justice, and homicide and terrorism related traumatic bereavement. I have experience working with a neurodiverse population including autism and ADHD. I am also an Educational Psychology Doctoral candidate and a Qualified substance misuse practitioner.
Sarah
Mental Health Nurse, DBT informed therapist, auricular (ear) acupuncturist
& Associate with GTPS
I am a registered Mental Health Nurse currently undertaking an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice to develop into an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Mental Health.
I have extensive experience in the assessment and therapeutic treatment of adults with a variety of mental health difficulties.
I have has significant experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and helping clients improve their skills in emotional regulation, mindfulness and distress management.
I have successfully developed and delivered groups and one to one therapeutic interventions using knowledge from foundations of CBT, CFT, and solution focused therapy for a range of patient needs promoting long term recovery.
I support clients to effectively utilise new coping strategies and stabilisation skills empowering them to lead a fulfilling life independently.
I am known known for my calm, non-judgemental approach in supporting clients in feeling understood and validated.
Providing a holistic treatment approach I am also qualified in auricular (ear) acupuncture proven to help reduce anxiety, improve sleep and support mental well-being.
Hannah

Hannah is fabulous, everyone should have Hannah in their lives.
She handles appointment scheduling and terms and conditions.
She likes a good cup of Yorkshire Tea.
With the exception of Sarah's auricular acupuncture, all therapeutic work with Good Thinking psychological Services is currently conducted via zoom or skype sessions. Our clients have found this to be an effective way to engage with therapy. Working in this way helps us keep everyone safe and allows us to continue to practice to support your mental health during these testing times.
